Are you on vacation or out of the office and want to set your Gmail notification to alert those trying to contact you? Gmail's auto responder has a new update and will be released in the next few days.
The off-site or vacation message, will appear in your status in Gmail and, new, also in the Hangout Chat contact window, when people try to write to you. This will allow you, as the sender, to give more visibility and confidently handle the most appropriate message, at the right time. Your absence in the office will be evident in more G Suite moments.
To turn on the auto responder on Gmail, you simply go to Settings and complete, at the bottom of the page, all the required fields with day, subject and message, saving your changes.
As a reminder, you can choose to make days and times visible at all times to let people know when you are working and available for meetings in Google Calendar Settings. This way those who attempt to invite you to a meeting outside of this time will receive an alert.
