The Google tools are constantly being updated, one of the latest additions involves Google Meet which has recently integrated the ability to asking questions and participating in surveys totally anonymously.

The Mountain View company's platform is now increasingly used and essential for everyday activities, especially with the onset of the pandemic, online meeting software has become essential and is being enriched with new updates.

Keep users anonymous

As anticipated, Google has updated the polls and questions feature for participants on Meet. Now administrators have the ability to interact with connected users completely anonymously.

Anonymous questions are allowed by default and can be banned by the meeting organizers and co-organizers by accessing the following item: Meeting Activities > allow questions in Questions and Answers > allow anonymous questions

Anonymous polls are disabled by a default configuration and are triggered by hosts and co-hosts when they share a poll.

When a user responds to a survey or posts a question anonymously, the details remain private to all participants, the meeting organizers, and the Google Workspace administrator.

The advantages of anonymity

Anonymity encourages many more users to participate and interact with the meeting moderator.

In fact, those who are asked to respond to surveys or questionnaires often tend to limit interaction for fear of being judged or being inappropriate.

In addition, this helps protect privacy when a meeting is public or shared across multiple domains owned by the company.
